league leaders Leicester city played a two all draw against west ham after going 10 men down while Arsenal also played a 1all draw with crystal palace, failing to capitaluze on Leicester city's dropped points. Wonderful matches were played this weekend in laliga and stunning results were recorded with Valencia defeating Barcelona at camp nou after scoring 2 goals in the first half.  Lionel Messi penned one back making his 500 career goals and 450th goal for Barcelona but it wasn't enough. Europa league draw... Liverpool to face Villarreal while sevilla draw Shakhtar

Hello dassyb blog readers and football fans. Its another wonderful friday. Europa league draw was held earlier and as usual we await exciting matches.
The Reds' reward for Thursday's dramatic victory over Borussia Dortmund is a trip to Spain for the first leg on 28 April, with the return at Anfield on 5 May. In the other semi-final, Spanish side Sevilla, who are looking to win the competition for the third successive year, face Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk. The final takes place in Basel, Switzerland, on 18 May.
Liverpool staged one of the most sensational comebacks Anfield has seen to overcome their German opponents in Thursday's quarter-final second leg. They were twice left needing three goals to go through, with Dejan Lovren's injury-time header from James Milner's cross sealing a 5-4 aggregate victory on a night packed with drama and emotion.
Villarreal are fourth in the La Liga table behind Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

UCL draw... Man city to face madrid, bayern drawn against Atletico Madrid

Hi Dassyb blog readers and football fans,  Thank God its friday.  The champions league semifinals draw was held earlier and we will be witnessing some breathtaking fixtures. Manchester City will play Real Madrid in the ChampionsLeague semi-finals. That means City could face incoming manager Pep Guardiola in the final, after his Bayern Munich side were drawn against Atletico Madrid in the other semi-final. Guardiola will replace current City boss Manuel Pellegrini in the summer. The first leg will take place in Manchester at Etihad Stadium on 26 April, with the return leg in Spain's capital on 4 May while the first leg of bayern vs Atletico will takeplace on 27th april in madrid while the second leg will take place in munich.
Friday's draw means the prospect of a repeat of the 2014 final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, when Real scored three times in extra-time to win, is still a possibility. Atletico knocked out reigning champions Barcelona in the quarter-finals.
Bayern Munich, top of the Bundesliga table, are five-time champions of Europe with their last success coming in 2013.The final takes place at Milan's San Siro Stadium on 28

Breathtaking fixtures were played last night with Liverpool producing a stunning comeback against Dortmund after going 2 goals down and It was instanbul all over again.  Bilbao also equalized on aggregate agaist defending champions sevila but lost on penalties, great fighting spirit from them though. Sharktar defeated braga in a one sided affair match while Villarreal also won at sparta Prague.  Full results and pictures from matches are shown below.

Champions league results.... Ronaldo's hatrick sends real madrid to the semis while Manchester city defeats PSG

The second leg of the Uefa champions league quarter final matches were played today and it was exciting as always with real madrid defeating Wolfsburg by 3 goals to nil thanks to Ronaldo's hatrick after d 2 nil shoking loss in the first leg. Manchester city also defeated PSG by a goal to nil despite aguero losing a penalty earlier on. Full results  are shown below.

Ist leg quarter finals of the Europa league fixtures were played and beautiful results were recorded with Liverpool surprisingly playing a draw with borrusia dortmund while current champions sevilla continued their couse for 3rd title in three years in the competition after recording an away win against fellow spanish opposition bilbao.  Villareal won at home to Sparta praha while Shakhtar won away at Braga. And on tuesday Barcelona defeated Atletico madrid and bayern also recorded a lone goal victory over benfica. In the English premier league, Liverpool and Tottenham began the match day with a 1 all draw while arsenal won convincingly against Watford.
