UCL...Monaco kicks Manchester city out, Atletico Madrid in the next round

Hello Dassyb's blog readers and football fans. The final two games of the round of 16 were played tonight and it lived up to expectations. Manchester city crashed out after losing by 3-1 to Monaco and 6-6 on aggregate. Monaco qualified on the away goal rule after losing 5-3 in the first leg.

Monaco dominated the first half and opened the scoring through teenager Kylian Mbappe’s poked finish from close range from Bernardo Silva’s drilled cross.
Mbappe had a goal ruled out for offside and Valere Germain struck narrowly over, before the Ligue 1 side deservedly doubled their advantage on the night via Fabinho’s well-taken strike from inside the area.
City failed to muster any sort of shot in the opening 45 minutes and it took until the 65th minute for Sergio Aguero to force goalkeeper Danijel Subasic into a sharp save.
They forced their way back into the game as Leroy Sane swept in after Subasic parried Raheem Sterling’s low strike – only for the hosts to hit back quickly through Tiemoue Bakayoko’s header 12 minutes from time.

UCL round of 16 results
Monaco 3-1 Man city (Agg 6-6)
Atletico Madrid 0-0 B. Leverkusen (Agg 4-2)

In the other match Atletico Madrid played a goalless draw with Bayern Leverkusen and qualified having won 4-2 away in Germany, the Spanish side were largely unflustered as they held the German side at bay. However, home keeper Jan Oblak did make two superb saves in quick succession to deny Julian Brandt and Kevin Volland. Bayer keeper Bernd Leno produced two excellent stops of his own to tip away Angel Correa and Koke shots.

Victory means Monaco join last year’s runners-up Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Leicester City and holders Real Madrid in Friday’s quarter-final draw.

Barcelona completes a stunning and historic comeback against PSG while Borussia Dortmund thrashes Benfica

Hi Dassyb's Blog readers and football fans. Yesterday night saw an historic and magical comeback from Fc Barcelona where they were 5-3 down on aggregate in the 88th minute, but scored three goals in the final seven minutes in one of the greatest European ties of all time. A goal in the fifth-minute of injury time from Sergi Roberto gave Barcelona a miracle 6-1 win over Paris Saint Germain to reach the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday in breathtaking style.Barca scored three times in the last few minutes to go through 6-5 on aggregate having lost 4-0 in Paris in the first leg.

Barcelona had led 2-0 at the break courtesy of Luis Suarez's header after just three minutes and Layvin Kurzawa's own goal. And they added another shortly after half-time when Neymar fell over Thomas Meunier in the box and Lionel Messi converted the penalty.

Neymar curled a sumptuous free-kick into the top corner before Suarez won a penalty and gave it to the Brazilian to convert - which he did comfortably, leaving Barca with one goal to find in injury time. And Neymar, who put in one of his finest ever performances, turned provider for substitute Roberto who poked home his first goal of the season as the Nou Camp exploded.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat-trick as Borussia Dortmund thrashed Benfica to ease into the Champions League quarter-finals.
The hosts trailed 1-0 on aggregate from the first leg but Aubameyang levelled the last-16 tie after just four minutes with a header at the back post. Dortmund took control after Christian Pulisic scored on 59 minutes. The 18-year-old winger brilliantly chipped onrushing goalkeeper Ederson after being slid in by Lukasz Piszczek.
Aubameyang, who missed a penalty in the first leg in Lisbon, then swept in Marcel Schmelzer's low cross two minutes later before an unmarked Marc Bartra hit the post from a corner.

The Gabon striker completed his treble with five minutes remaining as he turned in Erik Durm's sublime pass.
Dortmund have now lost only one of their last 12 European home matches under coach Thomas Tuchel as they reached the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time since 2014.
What a great night of champions league we witnessed. And this will be a night to talk about and remember in years to come. Congratulations to Barcelona and Dortmund.

Bayern demolishes Arsenal while Madrid cruise through

Hello Dassyb's blog readers and football fans. Hope you are all good? two matches kicked off the second leg of round of 16 UEFA champions league matches with a repetition of first leg results being recorded.
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid took care of business on Tuesday, becoming the first two teams to qualify for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League with wins over Arsenal and Napoli, respectively.
Both teams struggled in the first half but turned up the jets after the break, replicating the scorelines from the first legs. For Bayern, that meant a monstrous 10-2 aggregate win over the Gunners, while Real had to settle for a 6-2 aggregate score.
Here's a look at Tuesday's results:

Arsenal 1-5 Bayern Munich (agg 2-10)

Napoli 1-3 Real Madrid (agg 2-6)

A debated decision in the 53rd minute shattered any hopes of the Gunners becoming the first side in Champions League history to overturn a four-goal deficit, having also lost the first leg in Germany 5-1.
They led through Theo Walcott's stunning 20th-minute goal, before Bayern were awarded a penalty that also resulted in the sending off of defender Laurent Koscielny. The France centre-back was initially shown a yellow card by referee Anastasios Sidiropoulos for his foul on Robert Lewandowski inside the area - but it was upgraded to a red once he decided Koscielny made no attempt to win the ball.
Lewandowski placed his spot-kick beyond the reach of David Ospina to give Bayern a 6-2 aggregate lead and effectively kill off the tie. The home side then folded as Bayern scored four goals in 17 minutes. Arjen Robben robbed Alexis Sanchez of the ball and beat Ospina, before Douglas Costa made it 3-1 with a stunning solo goal. Fellow midfielder Arturo Vidal grabbed a late double, first with an impudent chip before slotting in from Costa's square pass.

Real Madrid’s captain fantastic Sergio Ramos headed Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals with two goals in six second half minutes. Madrid were given a first-half scare by Napoli who dominated and took the lead through Dries Mertens but the second period was a very different story.

Zinedine Zidane’s team had forced only one corner in the first half but they won two at the start of the second 45 minutes and Ramos rose to head home both Toni Kroos kicks, the second via a huge deflection off Dries Mertens that was given by UEFA as an away goal.

Feel like giving up? Think again.... Midweeek motivations...

Hi Dassyb's blog readers, hope you have all been doing well? well its the first time I am writing this year so happy new year to you all. Today I just felt like writing on never giving up on that dream of yours no matter how small or useless every other person thinks it is or the challenges against that dream because you see a winner is a dreamer who never gave up no matter the challenges, so keep fighting for that dream today because it may be difficult to wait but  regret is worse.

We are born with the instinct not to give up. As babies, we cry and scream until we get what we want. But somewhere along the line we lose that ability. People talk us out of our crazy ideas—people who live in the so-called real world, where things “make sense.” They’ve never attempted the impossible. But you have, many, many times.

Courage isn't having the strength to go on: it is going on when you don't have the strength. So If you fail, never give up because F.A.I.L. means "first attempt in learning" END is not the end , in fact E.N.D. means "Effort never dies" and if you get no as an answer remember N.O.means "Next opportunity:

So you see as you march down the street not giving up, hold your head high and swing your elbows. People will recognize you as someone who won’t give up, and they will get out of your way. Some of them will even hide. and no matter hoe you feel, get up, show up and never give up. mistakes are prove that you are trying.

On a final note, you never know how close you are so never give up on your dreams, its worth fighting for.

10 Best Breast Cancer Prevention Tips for Women at Any Age

Hi Dassyb blog readers, hope you guys are good? its been a while since I wrote something new but am back to writing and therefore expect interesting write ups from me.

Today I will be writing on things I have learnt from various researches from people in the field of breast cancer prevention. I hope you learn something.
Breast cancer. Just reading those words can make many women worry. And that’s natural. Nearly everyone knows someone touched by the disease. But there is a lot of good news about breast cancer these days. Treatments keep getting better, and we know more than ever about ways to prevent the disease.
Did you know that fewer than 15% of all women who develop breast cancer have a family member diagnosed with it? This might seem like a scary statement, but think about it…
This means that 85% of all breast cancer cases are caused by factors other than heredity, such as environmental toxins, bad eating habits, and stress.

That being said, we all know that our bodies change as we get older. What might work for a 30 year old might not be a 60-year-old’s cup of tea. Here are the top three breast cancer prevention tips you can follow to reduce your risk of breast cancer during each of your milestone decades
These ten simple steps can help lower the risk of breast cancer. Not every one applies to every woman, but together they can have a big impact.

1. Keep Weight in Check

It’s easy to tune out because it gets said so often, but maintaining a healthy weight is an important goal for everyone. Being overweight can increase the risk of many different cancers, including breast cancer, especially after menopause.

2. Be Physically Active

Exercise is as close to a silver bullet for good health as there is, and women who are physically active for at least 30 minutes a day have a lower risk of breast cancer. Regular exercise is also one of the best ways to help keep weight in check.

3. Eat Your Fruits & Vegetables – and Avoid Too Much Alcohol

A healthy diet can help lower the risk of breast cancer.  Try to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and keep alcohol at moderate levels or lower (a drink a day or under).  While moderate drinking can be good for the heart in older adults, even low levels of intake can increase the risk of breast cancer.  If you don’t drink, don’t feel you need to start. If you drink moderately, there’s likely no reason to stop. But, if you drink more, you should cut down or quit.

4. Don’t Smoke and limit alcohol intake

Smokers and non-smokers alike know how unhealthy smoking is.  On top of lowering quality of life and increasing the risk of heart disease, stroke, and at least 15 cancers – including breast cancer – it also causes smelly breath, bad teeth, and wrinkles. Now that’s motivation to stay smoke-free or work to get smoke-free.

5. Breastfeed, If Possible

Breastfeeding for a total of one year or more (combined for all children) lowers the risk of breast cancer. It also has great health benefits for the child.

6. Avoid Birth Control Pills, Particularly After Age 35 or If You Smoke

Birth control pills have both risks and benefits. The younger a woman is, the lower the risks are. While women are taking birth control pills, they have a slightly increased risk of breast cancer. This risk goes away quickly, though, after stopping the pill. The risk of stroke and heart attack is also increased while on the pill – particularly if a woman smokes. However, long-term use can also have important benefits, like lowering the risk of ovarian cancer, colon cancer and uterine cancer – not to mention unwanted pregnancy – so there’s also a lot in its favor. If you’re very concerned about breast cancer, avoiding birth control pills is one option to lower risk.

7. Avoid Post-Menopausal Hormones

Post-menopausal hormones shouldn’t be taken long term to prevent chronic diseases, like osteoporosis and heart disease. Studies show they have a mixed effect on health, increasing the risk of some diseases and lowering the risk of others, and both estrogenonly hormones and estrogen-plus-progestin hormones increase the risk of breast cancer. If women do take post-menopausal hormones, it should be for the shortest time possible. The best person to talk to about the risks and benefits of post-menopausal hormones is your doctor.

8. Tamoxifen and Raloxifene for Women at High Risk

Although not commonly thought of as a “healthy behavior,” taking the prescription drugs tamoxifen
and raloxifene can significantly lower the risk of breast cancer in woman at high risk of the disease.
Approved by the FDA for breast cancer prevention, these powerful drugs can have side effects, so
they aren’t right for everyone. If you think you’re at high risk, talk to your doctor to see if tamoxifen or raloxifene may be right for you.

9. Reduce the toxins around you. Toxins exist all around us, even if we can’t see them. Get in the habit of going organic when it comes to your food sources and natural beauty products. Learn about how to create a “toxin-free” home; this includes reducing your exposure to Wi-Fi and cell phone electro-pollution. You have a lot you want to accomplish! Get in the habit of detoxing your body regularly through short-term fasts, enemas, or professionally-guided detox regimens. You will be helping your liver, kidney, and digestive system to function at its best so that you can be your most energized self.

10. Find Out Your Family History

Women with a strong family history of cancer can take special steps to protect themselves, so it’s important for women to know their family history. You may be at high risk of breast cancer if you have a mother or sister who developed breast or ovarian cancer (especially at an early age) or if you have multiple
family members (including males) who developed breast, ovarian or prostate cancer. A doctor or genetic counselor can help you understand your family history of the disease.

Finally,

Don’t Forget Screening

Despite some controversy, studies show that breast cancer screening with mammography saves lives. It doesn’t help prevent cancer, but it can help find cancer early when it’s most treatable.  For most women, regular mammograms can begin at age 40, but specific recommendations vary by age and risk.
If you are age 40 – 44:
You can choose to begin yearly mammograms.  It is important to talk to a doctor about the risk and benefits of mammograms at these ages.
If you are age 45 – 54:
Mammograms are recommended every year.
If you are age 55 or over:
Mammograms are recommended every other year. You can choose to continue to have them every year.
Clinical breast exams and self-exams are not recommended. But you should be familiar with your breasts and tell a health care provider right away if you notice any changes in how your breasts look or feel.
Other Important Risk Factors for Breast Cancer
Unfortunately, there are also a number of important breast cancer risk factors that women have no control over. Knowing which ones apply to you can help you understand your risk and do what you can to lower it. If you feel you’re at high risk, talk to a doctor or other health professional. These can increase a woman’s breast cancer risk:
  • Older age, especially 60 years or over
  • Family history of breast cancer
  • First menstrual period (menarche) before age 12
  • Menopause at age 55 or over
  • First childbirth after age 35
  • No children
  • Tall height (5’8” or taller)
  • Dense breasts
  • History of benign breast disease (like atypical hyperplasia)Image result for breast cancer prevention
